If they had aired the episodes in order when it premiered, I guarantee I would have watched the show when it was new. One of these days I'll finish watching Firefly (I actually have started it again, properly this time, starting with the actual pilot this time, and it's good. If I'd known you hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have taken you to it. I complained about that as we left the theater, and my friend said "You've seen Firefly, right?" I had no idea who any of the characters were. "Wanna go see Serenity? It's gonna be AWESOME! Been waiting so long for this!" In my mind, it was a stand-alone science fiction action film. A friend of mine was super excited and called me up. I am not sure if the trailers didn't make it clear, or if I just didn't make the connection somehow.
